I couldn't agree more Gulam I would suggest seeing Small Faces for a real rush in another vein.

The avatar is too big. I think it would be polite to reduce it.

I agree that it's a little large, but how in the hell does etiquette enter the picture?

Because it is using up space and infringing on the posts. It's also a bit like writing all in caps, like shouting.

I hope you enjoyed your part in my book, clam. You had a real good time at the boat party.

What does this have to do with Couch With A View? Well my book is going straight to video.

Actually, I like the big-ass avatar.
BUT the problem I have is that Shane has a long website listed as his location. Which pushes the actual posts into a narrow column off to the right.
Shane, whatchoo doin' to us?

Go away Shane! Go away!

you can get rid of the http://. web browsers fill that in anyway. You can probably get rid of .html at the end as well.

No, I guess you can't get rid of .html. But unless the site begins with something other than http:// you don't need it.

March of the Penguins is out on DVD. I've already watched it one-and-a-half times. Talk about standing up to repeated viewings! It completely blows me away. The narration by Morgan Freeman is just one of the many pleasures of this great, great documentary--and the opening and closing statements call for a whole box of Kleenex.

Those penguins certainly know how to stand up. I'm looking forward to renting it.

War of The Worlds.

What is it about Spielberg and his complete obviousness that has people so wrapped around everyone of his movies? Someone claimed that this was dark, and yet could you explain the happy ending? Boston's a complete, bloody mess and yet somehow, by the grace of Spielberg, the Grandma's house is completely intact and everyone's safe. There are so many implausible things I'm not even going to begin listing them, but you try going into a beautiful suburban home and have a whole scene of "we have nothing but peanut butter and bread and condiments". Uhm, hello? Look in the fridge. Where's the pantry? I'm sure there was one. It was an okay amusement park ride, but a plausible film? No way. Most frightening (jarring) moment for me was when all you have is Tom Cruise and Dakota Fanning and all of these (basically) extras running around and then they get summoned to a cellar and the guy turns around and it's a closeup of Tim Robbins. As much as I didn't like the movie overall, I could still see myself giving Ms. Fanning a Blanche Nomination for Supporting Actress. My gosh that child is good.
