lotang --

Great to see your avatar again! You have been missed. Bones is supposed to return on Nov. 1.

Hey dl-

Nice to see you (sort of kind of virtually...) And thanks for the info on Bones. I have been watching and haven't been overly impressed yet.

Although I did watch the Alias episode where Amy Acker shows up. Way cool! I thought she really showed her range in the last season of Angel, especially when she transformed into Illyria.

I agree Lotang. Bones has some serious writing issues. It's not enough to just be quirky.

Have you tried Supernatural yet? (I think it's the new Buffy!) Good storylines, great characters. And genuinely scary.

And Threshold is beginning to catch my interest. (An X-files clone). It's definitely getting better.

I've been watching Suprenatural as much as possible but it's on at a wonky time where i live and I've forgotten to tape a couple of times. I am enjoying it though. What more can you tell me about Threshold? I haven't watched that. Has anyone else gotten into Prison Break?

Threshold is better than its pilot. I gave it up after the pilot but watched it again last week and got interested. (Again, there are simply too many "quirky" people but the storyline is interesting though convoluted.)

An alien "Thang" (bright light) appeared in the sky above a ship and people started mutating. Most aboard the ship died, rather horribly, but the 7 that lived are now trying to infect the population of the U.S. Sometimes the "goodguys" win, sometimes the aliens win. The aliens are smarter and faster than we are but we are determined to survive!!!! (Irony here).

It actually is starting to get interesting. Think of a cross between Alias and X-files.

I wish I hadn't, but I have. Now I gotta keep watching the damn thing to see what happens if/when he gets out. It's the greasy junk food of my current TV diet. I wouldn't want a steady menu of shows like it, but once a week I'll park my brain in neutral and let it take me where it will.

And as a lifelong cat owner/lover, last night's episode was particularly upsetting.

Yes, I am really liking Supernatural and I can see that they have some central mysteries that they are working on developing with who killed both their mom and the girlfriend, where is the dad and coming to grips with who they are to each other now. There is a lot of possiblities and the writing is very good so far. I even accepted the whole ring like crawling out of the mirror thing and loved the way they got rid of her.

And Threshold, while being a bit melodramatic at times still captures me with the whole idea of terraforming us and the planet through vibrations and frequencies. I am actually tired of the whole alien infesting us/duplicating us bit. This is something new (I know, Global Frequency). It's enough to keep me watching. And I am also watching Surface even though it's a bit silly. Ah well, willing suspension of disbelief.

Loved Supernatural last night. "The Guy With The Hook" - who hasn't heard that story in one form or another. And I always loved (well not loved but you get the idea) the end of the story

"She heard a bump bump on the roof of the car. Terrified she got out and ran and when she looked back she saw that it was her boyfriend, hanging upside down from a tree limb, his dead hand hitting the roof of the car..........."

BRAHHHHHAAA!!!!! Twisted Evil

Thursday Smallville offers beautiful vampires, scantily clad and Braniac (Marsters) commenting "There's no such thing as vampires". Wink

ARGGG!!! We had "pre-season" basketball last night. DANG DANG DANG!

It's bad enough we get regular games replacing the good stuff on tv - but "pre-season" - like who really cares as it doesn't count anyway?
