This is why you should never go to Drudge's "report".
Drudge headline says, "Meet the Fockers tops the holiday box office"
And then has this picture:

Lorne, I don't have any sleep problem, but Friday's crossword puzzle in the Times is one of the hardest this year, started working on it at 11 pm, finished at 2.30 am. |

Here is the Winnipeg Free Press' reviewer's (Alison Gilmor) picks for best and worst of the year. I find her as good a film critic and way better than some, of any that I read. She also writes well and is funny.
Her best of the year: (alphabetically)
The Aviator
Collateral
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind
Fog of War/Control Room (documentaries)
The Incredibles
Kinsey
The Motorcycle Diaries
Shaun of the Dead
Sideways
Vera Drake
Worst of the year:
Closer
Exorcist: The Beginning
Paparazzi
Saw
White Chicks
Of the one's I've seen, I don't have much of an argument with her choices. I haven't seen any of her 'worst' picks, but I'm surpised she left off Alexander which she panned mercilessly. |

That's better, although I liked Closer, and Fog of War is from last year. |

Well, Since I'll most likely be offline till sometime on Sunday night (where I'll post my review of The Aviator), I wanted to wish everyone:
Merry Christmas
and ...
Happy Holidays
Thanks to everyone here who helped make my 2004 a better year.
