I loved The Lathe of Heaven when I saw it on PBS back in the day. I recently rented it from the library. While it still seemed good to me, it didn't seem as great as I remembered it being. By far the best way to experience this story is to read it. |

Well done to the daffy. Actually, IMDb has "The Lathe of Heaven" for the 1980 version, and lacks the "The" in the subsequent version.
I too enjoyed it 'way back then. JorJor (George Orr) does as well as he can with his "gift"-- better than I would, I think. |

I was trying to spell Nena with an i and having a six letter word wasn't fair. |

When did the phrase, 'back in the day' start infecting our language? |

Marilyn -
I agree that LeGuin's book is terrific. I couldn't make it through The Left Hand Of Darkness, though. |

You're welcome, censored. I wasn't the best moderator this time, but I had the best participants! |
