I was watching Trump's attempt to justify his actions in Venezuela and though Biden was pretty out of it in 2024, Trump sounded positively senile. By the way, trying to justify it by saying hey, we can now steal Venezuela's oil is not going to cut it with many people. He also seems to be dismissing the opposition, but that may be a blessing since we certainly don't want them looking like American puppets if they do take power.
A big winner may be Guyana, since Maduro was threatening to invade the country for obscure colonial claims that were resolved decades ago, |

I wonder how much of Turnip's geopolitical "thinking"' is just Stephen Miller pulling his strings. There's an oil glut now on the world market, so I can't see how adding more heavy crude (and the billions in infrastructure repair needed to get it) would really make sense. I suspect it's more about keeping VZ and Mexico from supplying Cuba, weakening it and making it easier to convert to a MAGA satellite.
Anyway Turnip has certainly gutted the US moral standing and right to criticize Putin for his expansionist aims.

I don't know how to do that. Maybe Lorne or Marty know. I remember at one point Lorne was locked out and we figured out how to let him in. I'd certainly like to have whiskeypriest back. |
