And King Zog would be a great name for a rock band. |

Hee! King Zog and the Revolvers.
I would also like to see "Blood Simple: Sarajevo" as a MMP.
And Bart, I had to hack my way around to figure out you posted a pic of a bear-suited pianist in The Shining. I had no recollection of the bear. It seems like a Kubrickian touch....don't think it is mentioned in the book. |

Well, some of my details seem to have been a little off.
King Zog returned an assassins fire while leaving the Vienna Opera House. (not Paris as I said)
The bombthrower in Sarajevo apparently landed in less than 6 inches of water. (less than the foot and half I said) |

He and I butted heads here at least once, but it was always good to see him when he stopped by K2. I wish we had gotten to talk more in person.
Has anyone heard from Lady W? She must be devastated.
I'm so sorry to hear Wade is gone - that was a shock. |

Hey Gromit - Thanks for the very interesting details on the WW1 Ferdinand assassination. And for the neat breakdown of the precedents leading up to WW2.
Also wanted to thank you for the very nice thought you extended to drop in more often. There's no place like home. |

I'm dropping in to share a joke that came to me as I was awakening this morning.
Who does a search on "missing ear" and gets 450,000 hits?

I thought he died years ago. Yet he was younger than my mother. |

Winters was a comedian all his own. Unique. I always wondered what he would be like to spend some time with. I also thought he had died. He must have been in bad shape for quite a while.
If there is an afterlife he deserves the best. Jonathan, we all miss you. |

There's a great Twi. Zone episode with Winters as a ghostly billiards champion, teaching Jack Klugman a lesson. A natural comedian through and through.
The Kmart spot is a hoot! |

If there be any of you with Boston friends/family, hope they are doing okay. I lived there as a tween/teen and have a pleasant memory of going down to Boylston St. with my family, to watch the marathoners. Memories won't be so pleasant this year. |

I love Boston--even considered moving there once, between jobs--but I haven't been there in years. My theory is that the bomber(s) is one or more of those right-wing, Obama-hating, fear-inciting nuts. Hitting Boston on Patriot's Day, which is also the deadline for paying taxes, doesn't seem like a Muslim thing. |
