Congratulations! Wonderful news, wonderful pictures!
That's re McBain, not the post immediately above. Or rather, the last post on the prior page. |

"Wonderful pictures" sort of applies to Betty Garrett as well, depending on how one feels about Neptune's Daughter, On the Town, and Take Me Out to the Ball Game. |

Great McBain. All the best to you, mom and Isabella. Now the fun begins.
My step-granddaughter is named Isabella. She is 2 years old. |

All of the above! What the world needs now is to be populated by a vast horde of McBains, i.e. tall and attractive film buffs who will teach their children that 2-D moving pictures, seen in moviehouses, are a priceless cultural legacy that must be cherished and preserved.
You see how excited I get by baby pictures. |

Of course I was informed of this by my wife the other day. And Colombia is fed up with Obama's dithering on the FTA. As much as my wife thinks that Bush Jr. was corrupt to the core (something I keep disputing but to no avail), she and most all Colombians appreciate his attitude toward Colombia and his help in a lot of ways. They don't see Obama as a friend of theirs, and the result is the closer ties with China. I don't have any idea of why Mr. President has that attitude. It doesn't make sense. If he lets the FTA expire he is being just stupid.
I think the rail line from Cartagena has a 50-50 chance of going ahead. Maybe 60-40. |

Thanks, Marc. Your articles are always great fun and enlightening to read. I'm pretty sure that those movies never played in Winnipeg or I would have seen them. |

Marc--Despite your eloquence, I will not be viewing Two Thousand Maniacs. This kind of movie does a number on me that I do not need. |

With the lack of finance available from us it would be fine with me if China did what it's done here...just take over. Shane from the United States of China. |
