Hey, can I help it if I like John Cusack? Roland Emmerich does seem to have a different take and view on special effect films. For me, that makes him heads above a Michael Bay train wreck. |

The other night a woman who is a friend of ours dropped in for a visit. She said that she and her husband had seen 2012. Her advice was, don't go see it. No discussion, so we don't belong to the "hard to believe" crowd. |

For someone who's a stickler for grammar like who/whom, the correct usage is "she and her husband." |

Notice how I didn't use the argument that everyone says it that way now? It is accepted use. |

Snobs. I really want to see "2012"--nothing takes one's mind off one's troubles like watching one's planet crumble. |

He who calls Canada their home and which is not there now. |

and it ties in witn one's wish for a cleansing and purification
but seriously - watchable CGi effects aside - the dialogue was so darn predictable. Can't believe Ebert gave it 3 1/2 stars |

That's what would get to me, Trish. I hate knowing dialogue before it's uttered. And that happens far too often. |

Quote: these Twilight conversations. It's what girls are made of, "Sugar and spice and everything nice.
Do not speak ill about that which you know nothing. New Moon had alot of action and there were teenage BOYS in the audience. The books, etc. are a favorite of women of all ages. Bella Swan is not a typical girl. She drives a beat-up pickup. She doesn't like to shop or go to dances or celebrate birthdays. She rides a motorcycle. She wears plaid. She pleads with the vampire to take her virginity.....
I have an idea (just came to me) for a new series of books/movies: Girls Who Wear Plaid. |

There's a "Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid" joke in there somewhere, a couple of decades too late.... |
