Did anyone see the documentary that's been playing on HBO called "Prom Night in Mississippi"? Pretty good stuff.

My camping emergency kit contains a single piece of paper and a pencil. If lost, I'll misspell a word and Billy will show up to correct it.

And hopefully bring a pizza.

Previews before Moon included a Soulpower, a film about a 1974 concert before the "Rumble in the Jungle," It Might Get Loud, a rockumentary with Jimmy Page, a Sundance favorite, Adam, which looks pretty good and another Sundance favorite. Looks like they figure Moon is an independent film, and otherwise didn't know what the audience was looking for.

Duncan Jones was on NPR. He sounds like a very intelligent person.

EDIT: Of course, Moon was a Sundance favorite, too. That's why all the odd previews. Moon was made for $5,000,000. It should make its money back even in limited distribution.

Syd,

I don't know if you've already mentioned that Duncan Jones is David Bowie's son.

Yeah, I know. His full name is Duncan Zowie Haywood Jones and he used to be known as Zowie Bowie. (David Bowie being David Haywood Jones.)

This being my last night with HBO, I'm going to watch it now. Thanks for the heads up, McBain.

There was an interview with one of the musicians in Soulpower on NPR, too - but I'm not remembering his name right now. Pretty good interview.

Marj: have you made your peace with HBO?

Come'on, it's Wade! And I got a good laugh from his post.

Did anyone hear the interview with Aptow (sp?)? Clever guy and a very entertaining interview. AQlso talk of his latest movie which will be opening soon. Sound good, I hope it is.
