I have to agree that Liz was gorgeous in that terrible, snorefest of a movie, but I never found her to have much sex appeal either and it wasn't just the voice. She looked great but she was like a living doll, not like a hot broad. The only thing in B 8 that sets it apart is Eddie Fisher giving what might be the worst acting performances in film history. |

All the exes have said La Liz was a real hot one in the sack. She may not have come across that well on screen, but she must have been something in the bedroom (or wherever...). |

Taylor was really beautiful even as a kid, as in National Velvet. That's probably still my favorite of her movies, and she's very likeable in it. Anne Revere and Mickey Rooney were even better. |

The voice being the "little girl" voice some actresses employ? - I cant stand that. Melanie Griffith and very often - Nicole Kidman - use such a voice |

Jennifer Tilly does too. |

But on Jennifer Tilly it sounds good. |

I think for Taylor, Griffith, and Tilly those are their natural voices. For Kidman, it appears to be a choice she makes at times. |

Joey Lauren Adams -- it's her real voice. I heard her on a talk show a long time ago. She said her voice had hurt her career. |

It sure has. Who in the hell is she? |

She was in an early Kevin Smith movie. Look it up.
Taylor's voice is all wrong for her. Part of the problem I think stems from an early childhood in England. She never quite lost the weird mix of American and English accents that don't mesh well.
I'd imagine Taylor's voice _now_ would probably be OK in character parts -- if she weren't retired.
BTW saw her brother at the supermarket last week. He lives in Taos - a very nice, understated guy. Gorgeous eyes. |

It's Joey Lauren Adams, not Lauren Joey. But she's sort of unknown either way.
Liz's voice isn't little-girl. It's closer to truck-driver. |

Joey Lauren Adams was memorable as the lead actress in Chasing Amy. Has kept busy but in mostly small roles or iffy projects since. |
