I'm sorry, but if we're spitting out almost a grand a year to post here, is there anything we can do with all these hanging "chads"??? |

willybeeds - i think i might be the proverbial dangling 'chad' ... if so, it needs to be addressed now. |

I presume Ehle is talking about the line "No posts exist for this topic" that sometimes appears on a new page before a post appears. |

One of the reasons I didn't choose P. S. Hoffman for a sup blanch in CW's War is because I thought he was WAY better in The Savages.....so free of the histrionics he can do so easily. I loved the scene with him hanging from the door frame. And......I thought he was better in The Devil Knows You're Dead. |

1. I hope that's what ehle is talking about. I thought it was because I stuck my big, opinionated head in the conversation after so long.
2. HI NANCY ... good to be here!
3. I dig PSH's histronics, that's the reason I chose him for CW's War. About the only I didn't care for, historically, that he did was Capote (see paragraph 1 above). |

How do they know TWBB songs were or were not written for the movie? I understand Enchanted but is there a form or something they fill out saying, "I specifically wrote BLAH, BLAH, BLAH (song name) for the major motion picture TWBB"? Were the songs used in other movies? |

It's only about the song quotient regarding Enchanted. The chief point of contention amid the music branch about There Will Be Blood is that Greenwood's score includes a section from a previous composition, his 2005 BBC-commissioned suite Popcorn Superhet Receiver. |

Can you break that down for me? How much has to be just for that particular movie? Is there a percentage or something? |

As far as I know, it's not about quantity, it's about the disputed segment's prior use/exposure in another project/medium, also, as it turns out, the significant quota of quotes from Arvo Pärt compositions. It appears to be a vein of the same labyrinth of rules that made Roger Michell's Persuasion ineligible across the slate in 1995.

That's stupid. They change categories like some people change underwear. They drop them, they pick them up, they make new ones.
I need linked to the rules ... anybody? |
