I cut and pasted this from a news site. Note the "related articles". Finally, Bush is doing something positive.

Rolling Stones Star's Cancer Fight

Rolling Stones drummer Charlie Watts has stunned fans with the shock news he's been battling throat cancer since June.

The 63-year-old Brown Sugar musician is determined to beat the illness and is keeping his strength up by walking to his weekly radiotherapy sessions at London's Royal Marsden hospital from his home in nearby Chelsea.

His spokesman says, "Having been diagnosed with throat cancer, following a minor operation in June, Charlie Watts is reaching the end of radiotherapy treatment.

"He is expecting to make a full recovery and start work with the rest of the band later in the year."

Watts is being looked after by his wife of 40 years, Shirley.

His Stones bandmates, Sir Mick Jagger, Ronnie Wood and Keith Richards, are being kept up-to date with his progress.

marc, when a happy event takes place in your life, a screwed-up web page is the least you're entitled to! Congratulations from me, zwirnm, all the best.

hey mac, I'm happy for zwirnm too. I was just commenting on the picture's effect on the website in technical terms. Just something we should all be aware of when posting large avatars.

Marc,

I thought it was me, your right about the screw up....I send my best wishes to the Happy Couple as well....

Thank you Marc and Chilly for those Charlie Watts articles...I have always ike Charlie the best, he seems like a real class act, besides being a World Class drummer....I am a betting gal, I say the Stones'll keep going for a long long time to come.....and talk about someone eating their words, MicK Jagger always said that when he turns 60 he would not sing Satisfaction any more....well he too is full of shit because the last time they rolled around(no pun intended) his wrinkly old anorexic ass was up there singing Satisfaction....... What is he 76 now?????

As far as the Doors are concerned, happy to hear they are still rockin and rollin. I have always like The Cult so Ian is a wise choice...If I had to select a couple of lead singers my first choice would be Marc Campbell and then Ian Astbury....The Doors songs that I have heard Marc sing were so spot on I swore I was listening to L.A. Woman or Waiting For The Sun....ooooo I am getting chills just thinking about it.

Thanks for those articles too Chilly.....I am trying to picture Chrissie Hynde doing "The End"....mmmmm i'll pass

Been listening to A Ghost is Born all day. Makes wish I could write me a pretty gospel singalong about selling my soul to a rock n' roll devil.

Thanks for the link on the show, soozala. Sounds like a great show.

And glad you liked my post on the Doors. Both the LA Woman Live and the VH1 Storytellers are on DVD. I'm going to have to check both of them out now... especially since Scott Weiland is on the VH1 doing his Morrison stand-in.
