					| I have a question. And please everyone chime in. I have seen only about half of the movies up for consideration. Maybe not even that many. Is it right or fair to take part?
I hope to see another over the weekend but work is going to prevent me from totally catching up. And it will prevent me from being a counter as well. But since I have a tendency towards dyslexia with numbers, It's probably just as well.

					| I haven't seen all of them, either, Marj. Chime in where you can.
For instance, I'll probably have to stay out of the foreign film voting because I can't think of a foreign film I've seen this year, unless you count Babel. Volver is on the list for this weekend.

 Great montage.

I probably won't nominate in Documentary because I've only seen one.

I gather Apocalypto and Letters from Iwo Jima don't qualify for Foreign Film?

Not that I recommend you do the same, but it is not unknown for people to actually vote for films that they haven't seen, perhaps on the basis that they're are sure they'd enjoy them if they did or, even less justifiable, because they did not like the alternatives on offer.

					| Vote early and often, I say.
I'm actually looking forward to all the movie campaigns - the fistfights over the animation Blanche are usually particularly spectacular.

Seriously - did we outlaw campaigning? I remember this being an issue last year or the year before.

					| Thanks Everyone. And Jeremy it never occured to me to vote on a film I haven't seen. Although I'm sure it has been done. Not here but by some academy voters, perhaps?
The real problem is only being able to nominate or vote based on those I have seen. A month from now I might change my mind. But I'm sure this is true for many of us.

Good question Lady! I wish I had the answer.

					| Lorne, did you get my email regarding my offering to count for Best Director?
If not, then consider this my request... unless of course, it's gone already.

					| I'll do the one with all the babes - best supporting actress. And just to save everybody the trouble of voting, I'll let you know when I've made my choice between Emily Blunt and Gong Li. |

					| You can put me down for Best Documentary, I guess. I'll be impartial, having seen none of them, unless Borat counts. |

					| Jeremy, Whiskey - Got it. Thanks.
I hope Yambu remains our swinging tabulator, as he graciously did last year, since we always have one category left over.

Sorry - "Swinging tabulator" conjures an image of Yambu in a smoking jacket, with a calculator in one hand and a martini in the other.
