Don't know if I posted this already, but Family Guy reruns are now showing every Wed. night 8pm EDT on TBS, which just about anyone (even me with basic cable) get.
There are two shows, so you get an hour of rude, crude humor.
Simpsons is still king in my book, but this show is just too funny to avoid.

Yes, I always watch this show. Did you see the Hollywood episode? They tried to determine whether a certain camera had been used to film King Kong, and why Harry Warner had a cigarette lighter with the initials of the German studio UFA inscribed on it. They also had a segment about the location of Col. Selig's zoo and movie studio. Fascinating. |

Apparently he had made some kind of deal with UFA in the early thirties for some technique or process that only they had. They gave him the lighter, apparently on that occasion. Warner cut ties with them after the Nazis took over. |

| I thought "Rescue Me" was pretty good, but I don't know that I'll become hooked on it. It's part domestic drama, part NYC fireman drama, lots of camaraderie and hostility and conflict and empathy. More texture than most TV series, obviously. Dennis Leary is excellent--I never thought of him as much of an actor, but I like him, and of course this character is tailored to his personality and, in fact, his personal history. |

To see the subjects you have to be viewing the posts in subSilver. Go to Profile, then under Board Style select subSilver. I prefer the Third Eye color scheme (I think it's the default), but the subjects don't show up in it, so I do without them. |

| chilly - Family Guy is one of my favorite shows. I've been watching the reruns on Cartoon Network's "Adult Swim" for about a year now, and even those I've seen over and over still crack me up. I'm a Stewie Groupie... |

Thanks Nancy. Cat recovered. It was just....messy.
Hound of the Basketvilles was on CBC last night (Brit made). For an hour and a half I was riveted. Then it turned into "what the hell happened?!" They turned the end into a bloodbath of Hollywood cheesiness.
Heck even the HOUND was cheesy. The Shatner version (20 years ago) was better. |

Yeah.. my daughter has Cartoon Network and has been watching at nights. I do when we are a friend's house (she has Dish Network).
Brian is my favorite character. Stewie is cool as well and his lines... clever and cracks me up.
But now that Wed. nights on TBS are showing an entire hour, it's nice to play catchup. I need to add the DVD episodes to my list of TV shows I want. |

It's still a few months off, but Taxi was a show I would love to see over and over again.
Senifeld would be the mother-lode for me on DVD... but it's re-run enough on local and cable TV that it could be a few years before it's made available on DVD. Fine with me so long as it's eventually out.
