I have no idea where or what "the curtain" is nor do I intend to find out. I'm too old, and lazy, to start learning all your rules and regulations and have asked - no begged - to have my posting privelges at the Third Eye Film Society cancelled and my name removed. But, for reasons I can't fathom, you people have refused my request - twice. If you insist on having me as a "member" I will post what I want, where I want, and if you don't like it - kick me out!
Sincerely,
Harry
Harry - As the guy mandated to 'kick people out', understand I use that recourse only when there's abuse of the site and its members. I'm not your psychologist, and I don't do personal interventions. As I told you (and a handful of others over the years), leaving the site is as simple as going to any one of two billion URL's out there, other than this one. In other words, the odds are overwhelmingly in your favour.
You should know that I really like your direct commentary and opinions. You seem like an interesting guy, and you're certainly a valuable resource in this writing forum. However your indirect, lingering hostility - the whole "I'm too old, lazy, stubborn" bit - is not your best side. |

And then I went to my computer and tried to log in to my favorite forum. I jolted back in his seat when I saw the message YOU HAVE BEEN BARRED FOR INAPPROPRIATE BEHAVIOR! That goddamned Lorne has barred me from my favorite lawyer site, just because I asked him to. I was left with the distasteful prospect of going to the Third Eye site where they refused to expel me even after numerous requests on my part. They'll tolerate anybody.
I just had a few minutes to post a grumpy, arrogant message of pedantry before I dressed for my date with Sandi. |

I would like to see a story written after your date. That could be a fun read. |

Oh you will chilly, as soon as I get off my ass and start on my writing again. I saw the Sandi whom the character is named after, yesterday, and told her that she had re-entered the book. She is so excited. And she loves the name of her Liquor store. |

Actually, I was instrumental in helping Marantz find the correct spelling of "shamus." Whilst true that my own suggested orthography had been soundly rejected by the OED on numerous occasions, I feel that I did function as a sort of "catalyst" in bringing something about in that steaming crucible that is the writer's brain. |

Why bother? Just get the Godfather to lower the Cone of Silence.
I'd like to include you in my abuse, Chilly, but you seem like a good shit.
And everyone needs a good shit once in a while.

Has it never occured to you that when you don't like a movie that everyone else praises that everyone else may be wrong? |

What would really liven things up (and this is no slur on Marantz' efforts) is to have Melody return from the Very Large Array in New Mexico, where she is presently enjoying a psychotic break, and continue posting "Jessie's Run."
Call me fussy, call me a victim of Aspberger's Syndrome, but I like to finish any script I start reading that is penned by our Texas bardette. |

I agree with bart re: Melody's script. While I've enjoyed marantzo's writings a lot, the screenplay reading has been enjoyable, too. Waiting to see where Jesse goes from here.
I can wait while Melody enjoys her sabatical. |

Not bad, biter, but not quite on the money. I have other reasons, which I won't go into because it would defeat the purpose, for wanting to break the chains. |
