my comment was not directed to you specifically but to everyone, including Billy and others.
I like the idea of this forum and would like to see us stick to the concept of it being for brief movie reviews. The longer stuff, including chat, can go in current film and couch. By sticking to the concept, it creates a different vibe from the other forums.
As to me having any problem with you, I have no idea why you would think so?
My life is filled with so much drama and pain right now, I certainly wouldn't get emotional about someone I barely know. There's nothing on my chest but hair and a tattoo. |

| Toy Story 3 was a little dark and very well done. Moving, funny, sad, sweet and full of action. In order of excellence from the most to the least I would list 2-3-1. |

| The Secret of Kells. Often striking animation style that can get very busy; I did like the elfin Aisling. Main story involves a conflict between the Abbot of Kells, who wants to finish a strong wall to stop the Northmen, and Aidan and the child Brendan (the abbot's nephew) who want to finish the Book of Kells. No explanation why both can't be done, and main story is dull. |

Hereafter: Three separate story threads in three international cities, linked together by death. Eastwood's latest is a heartbreaking quest for meaning after loss. It's heavy without ever becoming cloying, and it hints at the great mystery of what lies beyond, without imposing answers. I thought it was excellent.

Syd, Kells was a let down for me.
I agree that the main story is simplistic and not very engaging. And I didn't care for the animation style much. The whole film seemed aimed at 5 to 10 year olds, without much going on beyond that age group. |

Marc, I didn't think there was a problem, was engaging in heated rhetoric as I sometimes do.
In theory, I agree that we could read a mini-review and then walk over to current film to then chat about it. Maybe I'm just saying that people are lazy. Cheers. |

What I really didn't like was the animation of the Vikings. I wonder if the main reason it was nominated for an Oscar was because it didn't look like any of the other candidates. |

Next Friday, general US release for Black Swan AND I Love You Philip Morris, how can I resist?
Will WFV on Burlesque, though the buzz that Bell plays against type and goes kind of dark here is highly tempting. |

Megamind: A really well-written superhero spoof with an actual story lurking underneath the wit. Will Ferrel is great and far less annoying as a cartoon voice. Kids loved it, so did I.
