Got your vote, Kate - are we all in, who planned on having a say in Best Actress? |

All righty, it's 3:30 p.m. on the East Coast and I've hereby given in my tabulated winner for Best Actress. Thanks for voting, all! See you at the ceremony!
(when is that, btw?) |

Well Downey Jr. gives a great comedy performance in Tropic Thunder. |

I don't agree with that, but I do think Downey is equally good at drama and comedy. Tropic Thunder just left me completely cold. |

He certainly does. I think he is one of our best actors. I always have save for some troublesome years. It's wonderful to see him in such great form again. |

Song & Score done, results sent to Lorne.
Woohoo, hoorah, hopla, it's BLANCHESTERIA!
Must go into the closet and pull out the ensemble. Hopefully, the wimple doesn't clash too severely with the sari and the 70s power suit... |

Sounds like you're all set for the ceremonies, inla...
I, myself, have my slouch socks and my slinky off-the-shoulder gown all ready. Popcorn and red wine, how's that for a perfect snack?! |

OOOOOOH, popcorn and red wine. Is it too early in the day to start drinking? |

I'm sticking with the Wrestler jeans and the Milk t-shirt myself.
When is the ceremony, btw? Tonight or tomorrow? |

I wasn't praising the picture, which was, to put it mildly, uneven, but Downey whom I thought was hilarious. Every time he was the focus of a scene the picture improved immeasurably. |

I'm with Gary on this one - I laughed out loud many times during TT, and often at RDj. |

I can't find your email, so I have PM'd the Best Doc result. Holler if you don't get it.

Ahhhh, popcorn and red wine. Takes me back to my drive-in days when two friends and I were feasting on popcorn and Chianti watching some crappy western in my dad's white Pontiac, only to have one of my friends puke red chunks all over the side of the car. Not a good combination. |
