Great poster, except that--as per usual--I can't figure out what they're all from. Most I can, but there are a couple at the very bottom that are stumpers. Can we have a clue? (For instance, that bronze head--wha? And the Winslet--is that RRd. or The Reader? And the man-to-man confab on the left? |

The two men on the bottom left, billy? That's a scene from The Visitor. That's Kate in The Reader. And not sure what you mean by the bronze - but if you mean the pic above Kate? That's a scene from Waltz with Bashir. |

That takes care of the whole shebang. And Dolores had already figured out Bashir and Kate. But The Visitor--that was a poser. Thanks. |

Here's where we're at:
Best Supporting Actor - Nancy
Best Supporting Actress - Marj
Best Screenplays (Adapted, Original) - Syd
Best Song -
Best Score -
Best Cinematography -
Best Documentary - Kate
Best Foreign Film - Lady W
Best Actor - Billy
Best Actress - Lissa
Best Director - Melody
Best Picture - Rod
Both Yambu (as always) and Wade have offered to do any category, which still leaves us one Tabulator short.
So why don't we dump Song and Score and add, say, "Best Comedy" or "Best Ensemble Cast"? |

Since we're slightly behind schedule this year, why don't we start the nominations for Best Supporting Actor and Actress immediately. Nominations can begin today and run until noon on Monday. A slightly longer period for this category to allow people to ramp up and join the Blanche spirit.
Nancy and Marj - You can start counting.
A group email will be sent out shortly... |

Assuming it's the same as in previous years, you nominate three per category while the nomination window is open, publicly on this forum. The actual voting is done by pm and e-mail in February a week or so before the Oscars.
I use the link above to decide eligibility. Those films described as making no money I figure are straight-to-video. |

The box office figures. The big studio films, no matter how ordinary or cynical, seem to pull in the punters. For the near future, it looks like Adam Sandler, Jim Carey, Ben Stiller et al will be given licence to clog up the multiplexes. |

Am happy to tabulate Cinematography, unless Wadehle or Yambu want that. Whatever, it's all for the Sacred Cause of Blanche.
Oh, and BLANCHERRIFIC POSTER, LORNE. WOO-HOO, HOORAH, HOPLA. |
