I'd go with Alanis Morrisette, although there's the possibility that if she speaks, people's heads might explode. |

Because he's old enough to get blind dunk and wake up in bed with two strippers without any help from anyone else. |

What - you got blind dunk and woke up in bed with two strippers without any help from anyone else? |

Can someone give suggestions on digital cameras? I need to pick up something for a trip, that will do good quality pictures I can upload to Ye Olde Blog. I'm not spending lots of money on this right now (otherwise I'd go for an SLR).
Every time I ask somebody why they picked the camera they did, they say, "I dunno." And Consumer Reports lists different types of cameras, but they don't really go into reasons to use one type over another.
Also - is there a such thing these days as renting a laptop? For a less than ridiculous amount of money? |

I like Canon products. They're not too expensive, reliable (in my experience) and take a beating, if that's one of your considerations. (I take a lot of pictures on a farm and hiking, which can be tough on a camera.) It's not a glamorous, supertechnical brand, but I like it.
This is what I'm currently using, though looking to upgrade, maybe for Christmas.

Well, thanks for the tips - I'll probably stop by Best Buy or Circuit City this weekend and start there, and look at some of the models people have mentioned.
I miss my old Pentax. But it's a heavy thing. |

I feel the same way about my old Nikon. Still, both are excellent cameras and from what I've heard they've put out some lighted models that are digital as well. |

I love my Canon A 570, with the one-hand grip. It interfaces great with my Canon printer. I think it's an advantage to match brand with brand, if you print a lot of photos. Also, go for the anti-jiggle feature, a little gyroscope that steadies the hand. |

I love my new Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ5S with image stabilization, 10x zoom, and 9 megapix. It costs about $270. at amazon.com . Check prices at www.pricegrabber.com . It takes great pictures - the 10x zoom is great for close shots of flowers, etc. It is good for catching action - animals, etc.
Before that, I was a big Sony fan...but this camera is superior. |

Oh, mo! I've been a staunch Canon girl for about 5 years now -- with one brief flirtation with a cute little Vivitar 8300S -- but that is one sexy camera.
Is that what you took the prize-winning pictures with? (grammar be damned) |
