Yes, I mentioned above--it's Weiner, not Sorkin.

But thanks for the heads up on Body of Proof. I've always found Dana Delaney quite charming for some reason.

Me too. Which is why I want to look in again and see where she goes with the character. I liked the tete-a-tete with the vasectomy doctor, about which of them was a bigger "ball-cutter." And maybe she can bring a different flavor to the Dr. House, "I'm-too-smart-for-my-own-good" thing.
House has the bum leg, she has the shaky hands....will she be yearning to take up neurosurgery again if the hands improve?

By the way, for those who share my friend David's passion, Jake Gyllenhaal is on the Daily Show tonight. (I like the guy, but David even has the DVD of "Prince of Persia.")

I just saw it, but I missed it on the first read. Sorry.

You know, it's been months since I began reading about problems with AMC and Weiner. And each time I read anything, it's for a different reason.

I'll bet neither one wants to admit it just all comes down to money.

The article I read a few days ago said it was about money. Their money and other TV broadcasters' is down. Ad revenue.

I read that too, Gary.

Learned, quite by accident, that Dr. Taub's lovely wife on "House, MD" is none other than the daughter of Billy Crystal!

I haven't eaten a full meal since last week's episode of Bones. And I've learned something about myself: I don't like watching a corpse explode due to gases released by internal decomposition. Tuning in this week, watching between my fingers.

Ah Bart, you're such a wimp. But I must admit that Brennan's enthusiasm at the decomposition site was a bit over the top. It was meant to contrast with Booth's disgust, of course, but it didn't quite work. (His disgust did, though.)

Hey! I watch a lot through my fingers. That is if I'm brave enough to watch it at all. In a theater I watch through the button holes on my coat.

It's funny, I'm a lot more sensitive to animals' feelings than to humans'. I can't even watch those ASPCA ads on TV with the forlorn dogs and cats (I think they're for the ASPCA, but it might be another such organization). The songs are syrupy anyway. I grab the remote and switch channels if I see an unhappy animal, unless it's in a compelling story. (I cry if Lassie limps.)

Agree on the animal stuff -- seriously bothers me. (Bones, all I really need to do is move dinner a bit earlier in the evening....) As for body farms, that seems like a perfectly normal and necessary kind of research facility and I could probably visit one without any problem. Provided the researcher (on Bones) was correct in saying that it's "very rare" that you actually get to see a body explode.

The new Upstairs Downstairs on Masterpiece Theater does not have the ease and grace of the old classic. I particularly miss Gordon Jackson as the butler.

It's not what the old series was, but it's a lot better than most of its competition. I like the way the political currents of the 1930s are being allowed to ripple through the plot (including the sinister Mrs. Simpson).
