I'll take cash.
Seriously, it's a lot of fun hanging out together every year for this Blanche thing. We're all part of this award party, which is what makes it fun.
I'm off to bathe kids, get 'em in bed and get me in front of the TV, dinner in hand, for that other show.
Next year is Blanche's big 10. Hmmmm....... |

No worries, Chilly. I don't take these things personally. If I did, I'd be grumpy as hell on here. |

You sounded more like "Thirsty" than Grumpy. |

And I have an idea for that. But later. Go bathe your boys.
And thank you so much. |

I'm off to the Oscars. They won't start without me, you know.
Great commentary everyone! |

Or maybe more like "Puffy" |

The big 10... I vote for a live, in person show. with an open bar, of course. |

Oooooh, Blanche Turns 10, the possibilities are Madisonic.
My hardly educated guess, and only each tabulator knows for sure, is that clots of votes rather than a wash of same for front-runners affected certain categories' playing field to permit logjams, squeakers and ballot tips. Part of me perversely wants a Night of the Upsets to transpire in an hour or so, the other part hopes for a relatively surprise-free Racso Night, to better set off the idiosyncratic integrity of Blanche Due Process, tee-hee, and the third part is probably going to TiVo the darned thing and go see a movie.
Now, I must go roast some marshmallows on the remains of the League of Linney Lovers float, which curiously looks like a burning backwater general store from between my drooping hemlocks. Wayeh kewel. Now, where's my pick-axe and that air-gun thingy? |

Your bar tab is... oh wait... it was an open bar. Just tip your server and we'll call it good. |

When tabbers get a chance, perhaps they can detail their results? Best Score went like this:
Zodiac - 5
NCfOM - 4
Once - 4
Grindhouse - 1 |

It took me a while to catch up. It was all over by the time I reached the end. Director and Best Pic are the only one's that disappointed me. I never saw Zodiac, but I have a hard time believibf that it was better than NCFOM or Eastern Promises.
Glad we gave Swinton the nod.
Great job Lorne, it may be a much easier job for a person with your expertise than I image, but I imagine the graphics plus the comments supplied etcetra, would be a BIG job and doing it so well, a VERY BIG JOB. Thanks.
Of course, you are Canadian so the talent and humour is second nature. |

The Lives of Others behind Black Book? I blame a serious crack addiction. |
