Welcome, one and all! We're on Year 9 of our annual parade of excellence.

As usual, the game begins by choosing our referees. Here are the categories:

Best Supporting Actor
Best Supporting Actress
Best Cinematography
Best Song
Best Score
Best Screenplay
Best Documentary
Best Foreign Film
Best Actor
Best Actress
Best Director
Best Picture

I'll leave it up to whomever counts the Screenplay to decide if they want to divide it into Original and Adapted. Email me if you're interested in doing the tabulating gig. It involves counting nominated votes online and counting the privately emailed final award votes. All results are confidential and are to be emailed to me.

I love having computer geeks on our forum, they always do such a bangup job. Great announcement poster as usual, Jewboy.

Speaking of computer geeks, I'm going to post a problem I've had with my computer over in the lobby, if any of you have a clue how to rectify it I'd really appreciate it. I was going to post it in Behind the Curtain, but I didn't want to interrupt the slurs going back and forth.

Am going to start wearing subtly mismatched cross-country ski togs and a Susan Sontag-like white streak in my nest-like hair, just to make up for absent faces in that UTTERLY FABULOUS Blanche announcement poster, tee-hee (insert winky here).

Woo-hoo! It's Blanche Season! Will there be picketers? Will there be limos? Will there be cocoa?

Wayeh kewel, lshap, as ever.

I'll take Screenplay, and, yes, it's divided between Adapted and Original.

I would be happy to make up the numbers by coffering to count some numbers, though I will be equally happy to give way for anyone who's dead keen to participate. Accordingly, I won't be volunteering for one of the glamour awards; but, at the same time, I'd like to avoid being the counter for Best Grip On A Best Boy or some other category which equally doesn't spark my intertest. Therefore, I humbly advise of my willingness to count the nominations and votes for Best Supporting Babe.

If it's still available, I'll take Best Director (as I've done from previous years).

If ehle is brave enought to tabulate the plethora of Worthies that constitutes Master Thespian, I'm happy to tabulate Prima Donna. And I just love how everybody in that poster is coupled, one way or t'other.

I have to several movies, including THERE WILL BE BLOOD, before I can nominate my choices.
