Cult Thai western, popular in Taos:

"Tears of the Black Tiger"

A real kick, campy, brilliant colors...odd but fun!
-------------------------------------------------

Another Asian film:

"Scent of Green Papaya" and others by that Vietnamese director

There have been some comparisons between Tears of the Black Tiger and Sukiyaki Western Django. SWD was pretty darn good, so maybe I'll hunt down TotBT.

Please forgive this politically incorrect remark...but Hippie (and if you know him, it's in character) was going to show "Tears of the Black Tiger" and "Johnny Guitar" in a film series of westerns called "Homos on the Range."

He did show "Tears" but not with that Tag...I think he had second thoughts considering the demographics of Taos.
