I've always considered Jake the supporting actor with Heath as lead actor.

Technically, since Jake was on the bottom he was in fact in the supporting role.

Pretty obviously just joking.
Haven't seen enough key films to vote yet.
While most of my favorites this year were documentaries.
Will try to catch up over the weekend.
Or might have to sit out the nomination process.

Ugh, ugh, ugh. I'm kicking myself for forgetting her! I even announced my intentions to nominate her earlier.

So, you can still change your vote, I imagine. The deadline isn't until next week. Your counter is Sioux - I'm sure she's flexible.
Query; Who you gonna bump? Michelle Williams, Taraji P. Henson, or Amy Adams?

Well, if Sioux would be kind enough to let me change, I would bump Adams. (I'm sure she'll get enough votes anyway so mine won't really make a difference.)

I'm kinda stunned that no one's nominated Clifton Collins Jr. for Capote.

I'll have my nominations, but I'm way behind in a lot of films and will probably have to wait till the last minute.

ehle, CAPOTE hasn't even opened in Taos yet. Its outrageous. Taos is an art scene. But, no CAPOTE.

He was on my short list, but the image of Robert Blake kept intruding. For me, Blake will always be the true Clifford Perry. He was one with Capote's book creation of him.

Supporting actrss:
Catherine Keener, Capote
Taryn Madding, Hustle and Flow
Qiu Yuen, Kung Fu Hustle

Sorry, that's Taryn MANNING. Much better role than supporting Britney Spears in Crossroads. (She was also in 8 Mile and Cold Mountain is small roles.)

Taryn Manning is remarkable in HUSTLE & FLOW. Its a pure, unselfconcious piece of acting that is absolutely free of any acting schtick. Her acting is transparent.

Supporting Actor

Donald Sutherland (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire)
James McAvoy (The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe)
Andi Serkis (King Kong as King Kong)

For a non-male person in an acting role

Rachel Weisz (The Constant Gardener)
Rosamund Pike (Pride and Prejudice)
Mario Bello (A History Of violence)

Plus Zhang Ziyi (for whatever she was in this year provided she spoke in Chinese) and Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire) for glorious large-ing it in a larger than life part.

Alas I've not seen Munich, Capote, Syriana or Brokeback (but I intend to correct the last omission very soon)
