You didn't get the one telling us when the Blanches were to be? |

You're welcome!
Wade, didn't you change email addresses? Lorne probably doesn't have your latest. You have to change it in your profile also. |

Whatever happened - I'm sure it wasn't purposeful, Wade.
I'm off too. May stop by later. |

Lorne's email, posted without permission:
***************************************
Hi all,
Be online Saturday night, 9:00 P.M. (EST) for the presentation of the 11th Annual Blanche Awards.
The Award Show includes graphically-designed sponsors, celebrity presenters and award winners, along with live message-board chat as the event progresses. Watch it or take part, it's a fun way to spend an hour.
Enjoy the show! Sit back! And while you're online, our new software will be accessing the porn files you've hidden from your spouse and sorting them into hilariously heavy emails. Share your thoughts about this exciting feature when I call you from an untraceable phone, asking for donations to Third Eye's omelet bar, currently under construction!
Yes, here at Third Eye we're all about film, fun, kickbacks and egg whites.
See you online.
Lorne (Lshap)

I am not sure that I agree that 2009 was a great year for films. Yes there was plenty of quality and choice about, but not that much that I could really get enthusiastic about.
However, I concur that Lorne excelled himself...my only problem was the rest of you voting for the wrong films and actors. Maybe you'll get it right next year.
See you for now. |

I was surprised at the end of the year how hard it was to come up with a top ten list. There were some very good films, more good films than I realized, and no great ones. My #1 film of the year, "Goodbye Solo," isn't quite as good as the director's previous film, "Chop Shop."
It was a really good year for animation. I had three animated films definitely in my top 10 (Sita Sings the Blues, Fantastic Mr. Fox and Up), Coraline was a contender and Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, A Christmas Carol, 9 and The Princess and the Frog had their moments, too. 2010 also looks like it will be a good year. |

Coming back from seeing a Blanche winner for next year: The Ghost Writer. And the trailer for A Prophet and The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.........I predict next year will also be a very good year.
Thank you Lorne, Melody, and Inla! |

I'm sorry, but The Hurt Locker, Avatar, A Serious Man, Goodbye Solo, 35 Shots of Rum, A Prophet, and Sita Sings the Blues are all great movies of one kind or another, and there were more really good movies than in most three-year stretches. It was a fantastic year. |

Having covertly watched via closed-circuit feed at the Blanche Governor's Ball, where SASSY entities, in typically what-the-heck sportsmanship, had a blast roaring at the various presenterators and enjoying the upsets, not to mention marveling at how quickly the catering forces arranged pig's feet and purloined champagne, a chopped-onion sculpture of Bret Somers, creme-lade sacher-tortes, 3D Blue Cheese quiches, various foreign delicacies and more 60s alcoholic beverages than hitherto seen in Blancheland, while keeping the country-western band from drinking the beers before the waiters served them, just have to say the following:
BLANCHE RULES!
AGAIN, THANKS TO LORNE, MELODY, AND ALL OF THE THIRD EYESTERS!
IT WAS A FANTASTIC YEAR FOR FILMS ACROSS THE BOARD!
BEST BLANCHES EVER!!!
