Well, that's her opinion. And since I never agree with her anyway, she's preserved her batting average. |

She's possibly my favorite critic today. But as I haven't seen the episode myself, I can't say whether or not I agree with her in this case. |

I thought Six Feet Under in its prime was a work of art. And, of course, Buffy the Vampire Slayer (with Angel it depends on the epidsode). Buffy, Six Ft Under, Sopranos.....who's gonna give The Wire its deserved place in that pantheon? I guess I will. |

Never watched The Wire, but I believe Havrilesky would agree with you.
By the way, I don't consider every show I like a work of art. Voyager wasn't. X-Files wasn't. The Addams Family wasn't. |

The Wire has never grabbed me at all. Way too convoluted. |

Yam--Sorry for the snarkiness.
I read it. I think there were four different endings. I don't remember if they were all filmed or just written, but pretty sure they were filmed. Apparently no one in the cast knew what the ending was going to be. Unless the article was just fabricated, which I doubt. As you know I haven't seen it, but I'd imagine that it was the last scene or two that had multiple versions. |

The last season, set in the Baltimore school system, shows us where all the bad guys we had been watching for years, came from. It is heart-wrenching, uplifting, and powerful. The main writer - I forget his name - had spent years as a Baltimore cop, and then a high school teacher. |

The actor who played Agent Harris says that the final scene had more footage with the Man in the Members Only jacket moving toward Tony's booth in the diner. I also heard that Meadow sat down and they had some dialogue. I still say the ending that was chosen was the best. |

It sounds like an ending that I'd like also. |

Why don't you just watch it, Gary? Isn't it being shown several times this week up there? |

We don't have HBO up here. I'm catching up on some other channels but it's erratic and they aren't into the last season. |
