The funny thing is that I gave two nominations to In Her Shoes, and I didn't like the movie.
Both Lloyd and Langella gave performances that had me wondering, "Wow, who is that?"
(and isn't that what best supporting actor is all about?) |

I loved the movie. Curtis Hanson's track record is awesome, with L.A. Confidential, Wonder Boys, 8 Mile, and now In Her Shoes. I didn't like 8 Mile at all, but you have to concede that it's a well-made movie and totally different from the other three, which all are different from each other. Hanson is making a claim to being a truly classic filmmaker in the Wilder/Hitchcock tradition. |
