This guy has come up with an elaborate theory for what's really happening...

Very elaborate. And then at the end of the piece the person writes, "There is more, but that's the gist." There's more? Geez! This person has likely given more thought to the plot of Lost than the writers.

grace,

I noticed that you have changed your hair color. Among other things. Laughing

I figured you just can't go wrong with a horse sticking out his tongue. Plus, I heard red is the "in" color for hair these days.

Truthfully, I was playing around with how the avatars work -- sizing them, changing them and stuff. (And that was an old picture of me, so thank you Gary.)

Thank you, I think. Embarassed
But, I don't think it's too bad.
And now back to regularly scheduled programming...

Grrr...flipping past stations this morning I catch the ending of both Angel and Buffy, but only the last few minutes of each. What happened to the two-episodes-in-a-row scheduling?

Joe,

FX stopped that a month or two ago. They also don't show the 1pm and 2pm Buffy episodes any more. Now it's just weekday mornings, 7am.

Same kind of thing happened with Angel at about the same time, though I believe the channels are not related (Fox and Turner).

It's not a completely bad thing; I get to work on time a lot more often now.

Cool

I've got tons of episodes on tape, so I don't know why I'm complaining. I guess there's something about coming across them by surprise that's pleasant (except when you only see the final moments). I'm so Buffy/Angel straved it's not funny. No show has captured my attention since they went off the air, except Arrested Development (which fell to pieces this season). I might end up one of those people who haunt the comic cons. **shudder**

Same here. I've tried most of the new SF/supernatural type shows, but none of them has really grabbed me. I am still giving Bones a try, though partly because I find it amusing that they know so little about anthropoloigsts. (I have a degree in that, so I've seen lots of them.) It's almost a guilty pleasure. I'm still trying to get caught up on Lost and Desperate Housewives. At least there don't seem to be as many reality shows, which I find unwatchable. (Joss, we really need you now. I can only re-watch my Firefly DVD's so many times.)

I watched Smallville for a while, which was really Buffy extra lite. I've avoided Lost because I didn't see it early on and figure the plot's too complicated to jump in the middle.

I have a friend who didn't watch Lost last season, and thought the same. However, he watched tapes of a few episodes and is now hooked.

And I know what you're saying. Lost gives me a glimmer of hope and I do find myself watching Supernatural. It is the only new show that I think has some real potential. Good writing, acting and scary. what more can you ask for except Joss coming back.

I like Supernatural much more than I thought I would, and I'm excited for Battle Star Gallactica to come back in January with new episodes.

I think the only shows I've been really invested in this season are Prison Break and Veronica Mars. But even these shows don't inspire the same I-can't-wait-to-discuss-this feeling that Whedon shows gave me.

I asked for Serenity for Christmas/Hanukkah and am planning a nice Firefly/Serenity marathon for some crappy winter day during my holiday break.

LOL

Nancy,

Good to know I don't have to have seen all of Lost to get into it. I'll check it out over the break (one other thing about teaching night classes: if your VCR won't work on a timer, you're screwed).
