| My main reasons for not watching "LAST DAYS" is I have almost zero interest in Kurt Cobain and Van Sant hasn't made a film I cared about since DRUGSTORE COWBOY. ehle and billy's recommendations would be the only reason I may eventually see LAST DAYS. |

The guy who plays the evil little gang guy ("warriors come out and play")
is a friend of mine, David Patrick Kelly. David and I used to hang at CBGBs. He was in a punk band.
I was involved in providing some of the clothing for the movie. Back in the late '70s and early '80s I owned a clothing business. Mostly punk and '60s stuff.
Kelly is wearing a CBGBs shirt in his interview segment. He gives a GREAT performance in the movie. That last paragraph of yours practically makes you a hero of mine. |

| Back in 1997, I went to see David Patrick Kelly perform in a Richard Foreman play called PEARLS FOR PIGS. After the play, David and I were walking down chanting in a high-pitched whine "warriors, warriors...." I asked David if, after all these years, he had gotten tired of that shit. His reply: "hell no." |

Better than I do.
I hadn't known the movie was previously released. I checked Amazon, and got an—I think—pretty good deal. $29. I'll be happy to have the orginal version, though I must admit the restoration on the new one is beautiful. The colors look great. I just wish Hill hadn't made the changes.

I'd define this as liberal editorializing a la Michael Moore, not outright supression of the truth a la Joseph McCarthy. |
