I can respect that comment and the emotion behind it. Obviously, I don't 'feel' it the same way. |

tim,
clearly you're looking for a fight. It really wasn't my intention to equate you or Gary to McCarthy. I was responding to the way we, as humans, deal in absolutes, which was McCarthy's sickness.
I'll get out of the way and let you all play nice.
Visit me at mondokultur.com.
We will have message boards and places for folks to review films. It will be film discussion only. |

Looks like I need to see "Good Night and Good Luck" or get a refresher course in McCarthy-ism to join in on the latest discussion.
BTW, Marc.. which ad should I click on for film discussions over on mondokultur.com?? |

You should see Point of Order first and then Good Night, and Good Luck. Just a suggestion. |

CHILLY,
mondokultur is under construction. It should be up and running by the end of the week. It will have a huge film database. |

Marc:
"clearly you're looking for a fight."
Hardly. I responded to your initial comment equating me and Gary with McCarthy by asking you to clarify, which you did, by claiming that there were "similarities" between McCarthy and us. Both of us gave you the benefit of the doubt, and you fucked us both.
"It really wasn't my intention to equate you or Gary to McCarthy. I was responding to the way we, as humans, deal in absolutes, which was McCarthy's sickness."
I would re-read your own posts; despite your alleged intention, the equation was unmistakable.
"I'll get out of the way and let you all play nice."
This is like, the 123rd time in the past two weeks you've made allusions to leaving, and then haven't. Shit or get off the pot.
"Visit me at mondokultur.com."
This 26th reference to his new website comes from a guy who, upon my return, claimed the only reason for my reappearance was to plug my show. It's especially hilarious considering marc claimed only a few posts ago that I would leave the forum in a huff as a result of this debate.
"We will have message boards and places for folks to review films. It will be film discussion only."
Um... okay, sure, whatever. I got ten bucks that says you can't go 10 posts without taking a shot at someone. If I'm wrong, consider it a housewarming gift for your new home. |

Mostly, I agree with Billy and most everyone else about McCarthy's use of a paranoia rather than his actually subscribing to it. However,

I think I agree with this. |

Thanks for the suggestion billy. I think I'll take you up on that one with this weekend's rentals. |

this is the 3rd reference. The first one was an invite for people to post film reviews. My new website will be a resource mostly for my customers.

sorry you can't get over your anger with me. But, this really ain't worth my time. |

Nor mine.
This discussion started off based on home viewing of Point of Order and then devolved into another timdawg vs. hippster row. If you guys feel the need to carry on, please do so Behind The Curtain.
Thanks. |
