In mourning mode:
Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I am so used to being wrong, that I'm surprised I'm not more upset at having been so in the case of the
6FU
10th episode (and according to my source, one of the asst. accountants for the series, it's a 12-episode season, which means only two eppys left).

At least we now know that the "never-left-the-operating-table" scenario was just a fanbase fantasy.

Spoilerella

The means of getting back all of Ruth's men, and the final head-trip before the "gotcha" fadeout, astonishing. LOVED Ruthie Get Your Gun,
And oh! The irony of Claire falling for her GOPposite number in Lawyer Ted.
It wasn't until Stoner Dave was replaced by Button-Down David that I realized that Nancy Oliver really had gone and done it.

What an effing brill show. I bet it ends with the former Fisher and Sons becoming Diaz and sons. Whatever. I'm taking to my bed with the vapors.

QAF also quite compelling, in its cozily campy, chenille-sledghammer way. Am a little sad in advantia the "shocking' series finale next week. Of course, it does make me laugh that the Lebizians want to move to Toronto, i.e., where they film Pittsburgillyria already. LOL.
(I think Ted may be dating his murderer, though it does seem like Brian is the likely promised principal demise there.)

Don't know what I think about Weeds or Weedy or Cannibis Alley, or whatever they're calling it, 'coz it hain't been aired yet, but any teevee shew that brings me both Mary Louise Parker and Elizabeth Perkins has got an in-road already. Whether I agree with the N.Y. Post's assessment that it jumps Shewtime ahead of Haitch-Bee-Oh, well, that's another matter altogether.

I have never sobbed like this for a TV show before. God how I wanted it to be Ruth, especially with the cougar precursor and her stupid cocktease act and wandering around in the woods like a crazy person doing the suiter shoot (which was, I'll admit, hilarious).

But ... I'm so incredibly sad. Crying or Very sad

Coulda sworn the preview said three more eps left, Inla, but I muted the damn set following the credits (thankfully silent) so I'm not sure.

LOVE "It's a Ball world after all."

Pass the vaporizer.

I'll take it next. . . Crying or Very sad

I so went there with Ruth, too! But after Claire was all happy and kissy with Nate, I turned to the S-Man and said, "Oh, My, Gah, Nate's just going to die. Everyone is too happy." Crying or Very sad

melody I know exactly what you mean on the Crying or Very sad front. The Nate/Brenda wind-up started me in, and the whole van scene, with StonerDude Dave and Pacifica, devasted me. Weepweepweepweep. Re: the season length, perhaps, could be, who knows, maybe it's split episodes, as in Season 1, where the last two episodes were the "double season finale," or sump'n. I do know the final ep is longer, like 75 mins or so.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

ehle:
Let's all do it in tandem, the Morbid Tabernacle Cryer.

Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

I don't think I've had a series affect me to quite this degree since thirtysomething, if not MTM. When 30smtng receives its longoverdue release, per ex-scribe and producer Richard Kramer at the critic's awards out here this spring, I can get moist over Hope's unfinished kitchen and Gary's, well, you know. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

It's a good thing I don't take this seriously, though.

According to the schedule on the HBO website, there are two more episodes, titled All Alone and Static, followed by a special on Monday, August 15, titled (I love this) Six Feet Under: 2001-2005.

Strangely, although I am a huge cryer at television shows (MTM's finale provoking a torrent, for one), I was dry-eyed at Nate's demise, even though I love the show and love the character. The reason involved not only his last-minute betrayal of Brenda (I have loved her through thick and thin, sober and slutty, and always thought Nate and Brenda were the match made in heaven) but also the very clever and cinematic treatment of his death, with dream sequences, postmodern humor, etc. In other words, I don't fault the show for my emotional distance; it's all part of Six Feet Under.

I don't know if any here watches entourage but last night the former creepy intern from 6' under was on entourage playing a creepy website guy. I thought the ending of nate struck a false note. You would first secure your childs webeing before you tell her news like that.

shit, I am guilty of what I just accused zzzzzz of.

zzzzzzz's contributions in the past have been so sloppily presented that I suspect he may be a mongoloid.

Let me rephrase that, zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

I was thinking, there are three network shows I watch: Desperate Housewives, Grey's Anatomy and Boston Legal (which caused a problem when Grey's Anatomy replaced Boston Legal on Sunday nights). My Nielsen ratings will be really screwy.

By the way, Izzy is my favorite intern on Grey's Anatomy. I like this show as a demonstration of medical ethics and the learning process. Although Grey is the stat, what I notice is Izzy has the best bedside manner, her instincts are generally correct, and she seems the brightest of the interns. I wish they would cut some of the soaf opera on this show. It does a really good job of showing the world the interns live in. I'm actually surprised it's a hit, but the medicine is interesting as well as the moral conundrums.
