I was lucky enough to save the absolute most disturbing one for last.

is this the one that involves the little girl's eyes?

No, though that was the very first one I saw and a horrific and brilliant introduction to the film. To me the most disturbing is the one that involves blood.

The Drano bit was fun.

I tried Joker's link and got:

My first thought was, damn Joker knows a lot of folks.
Second thought, 3rd Eye cannot be that widely read.
Third thought, Marc probably has this thing going on two or three computers with a dozen browser windows going on each.
Fourth thought, how come I'm so late to the party.

Richard Jobson is no mug, but I don't think he's much of a talent either.

Rod - Do I want a regular diet of Coffin Joe? No. Not even Shane wants that. Am I glad I saw one? Yes. He's a pretty funny guy; reminds me of Svengoolie and all the other monster movie hosts on TV I grew up with. He had a TV show in Brazil, you know.

trish - I saw Andre Rublev in an art house here a couple of years ago - it was the four hour version - there was an intermission. I did find the story very interesting, and it never exactly dragged for me, but the animal violence just ...well it's completely horrifying. When the horse crashed down the stairs, I really wanted to walk out, but I was with a friend who seemed to not be as disturbed.

Nevermind the scene during the raid when they wrap some poor guy up and pour boiling pitch down his throat - UGH - still can't get that scene out of my mind it makes me physically ill

trish - you are right about that scene, but I've become more inured to human violence. I can see where that guy wasn't really damaged, but I can't figure out how a horse falls down a flight of stairs without getting hurt.

There is an interesting scene in Three Kings where Mark Walberg has a similiar experience to the unfortunate in Andre Rublev.

If he had a sense of humor by his later films, then he at least developed a little from his early works, which, frankly, border on crimes against humanity.

this is such bullshit. Thank god for Coffin Joe and all the other crackpot B-movie directors. Movies without Herschell Gordon Lewis, Russ Meyer, Ed Wood, William Castle, Jean Rollin and Lucio Fulci among many other wack jobs, would be alot less fun.

Rod, grow a sense of humor. You're a pretentious gasbag.

Just got thru watching BEYOND THE SEA. Whoa, what a pile of unadulterated horseshit. Kevin Spacey has lost his fucking mind. Awful, just plain awful.

Marc, if you spray any more urine about your territory won't be worth marking.

Ya know?

I mean, hippster, are you not happy with your new life in Taos? Cause all you seem to do in here is disagree with everyone, put people down, call people names among other things. Can't this be a constructive forum for you anymore? Is it so bad that you have to come in here and theoretically SHIT in everyone else's punchbowl? I love ya no matter what the hell's going on, but, I swear, the antagonism is getting a bit tired.

Thanks for your opinion on Beyond the Sea, though. Solidifies my staying away from it right here and now. What does Hayden see in Kevin???
