Wade Ehle is dead. I'm trying to find out what happened, but obviously his family and close friends are not online.
The only thing I know is there may have been a problem with his liver. Then I heard he is getting hospice care in the hospital.
And that's it. That's all I know. |

Jeez, that's terrible.
Maybe someone can get in touch with Lady W, or she'll check in here. Wasn't ehle just early/mid-40's? |

Just saw your Facebook status. So sad to hear this.
Please fill us in on more details. Always sad to lose one of our Third Eye family here. |

Unfortunately, Lady W. just found out too. I've PMed one of his closest friends, but I doubt she's going to want to talk right now.
Scott is devastated.
From what I can piece together, and please don't hold me to this. Wade had some kind of liver problem. Last week he reached out for a transplant. I of course, thought this was Wade just being Wade.
This week he went into the hospital for hospice care. And that was it. It happened very fast. I'm at least grateful for that.
Of course, as soon as I know more, I'll let you all know. |

Very sad to get this news. |

I really got a kick out of his large font postings and unbridled enthusiasms. Back in the day, he was one of the forum characters who gave the place....its character. That's too bad...and outrageously premature. |

It's bad enough when one expects a death, but that really comes as a shock. |

Oh damn! I always missed him on this site and when I'd see him and Scott when I was in NYC it was always fun. The last time I saw him was about 4 or 5 years ago. Dinner at Le Pernod with Scott, Lady W, Wade and Marta. Good times.
I wrote to him around two years ago and asked him how his health was. He answered, " health is wishy/washy ". |

gromit - Sorry I missed your second question. Wade was in his mid-thirties to late 40's. |

This is the I've seen written about Wade so far. What wonderful insight, Bart.
Last night, after so much writing here, and on Facebook, I went to one of the book forums. Wade loved the book, "A Home at the End of the World." Reading it really helped a lot. |

Wade visited me in Las Vegas. First, we hooked up at a Madonna concert and later had dinner at my favorite Vegas Thai restaurant. Later, he asked me if I had any pot. My wife did. He got stoned. I had wine. We talked for hours.
We ended up having a falling out. I still don't know over what (a Facebook battle?). He was thin-skinned and I can be brutal at times. Despite it all, I loved the dude. |
