Everyone is entitled to his/her own perceptions, of course, but I wonder how anyone could see this as a supporting performance. Bening and Moore were costars if ever there were costars.

Come to think of it, you are right. But let it stay.

Sorry to hear this. I heard the same thing last night from someone else. I wanted it to be great, if only for Eric Bana's sake.

(It's Hanna, btw, w/o the second "h.")

So go the vagaries of subjective Blancheration. Posted that I was leaning toward Supphose for Ms. Manville during the run-up to that, um, other film society.

Well, Armie Hammer played both roles, while matching up to Josh Pence's Tyler, before being digitalized onto Mr. Pence's body, with both actors having to do every scene twice for every take (and David Fincher is notorious for multiple takes of everything), and Mr. Hammer had to not only keep exacting notice of what Mr. Pence was doing, but subtly delineate the two twins, That's why they both made my honorable mentions. A staggering, systemic technical feat, even more than, oh, the ballerina who executed the pirouettes for Natalie Portman when Nina sprouted wings at the climax of Black Swan.

I was utterly unaware of anyone being digitalized onto someone else's body, so I guess they did a good job of it. Will research this ASAP.

Inla, I hope to watch the second and third of the series as soon as I can stay awake long enough. I have them, but my allergies are doing me in.

Gromit, it's the Book Forum. And anytime you want I'll be glad to open a dedicated forum for the Blanches.

They did it in The Gladiator when one of the main actors died during the making of it.
