And I just have to wait for my pay check to make it $20. It is ten dollars isn't it? I think that's what you said. Chills, if I'm wrong, please let me know?

It's $8 per. I just tucked some cash in an envelope and mailed it to him. I've heard people say that's risky, but I've never, in five decades, had money get lost in the mail. And it's only $8.

When I gave the cash to the lady of the night I normally frequent, she told me it would be easier if I bought her a couple of well drinks instead.

(seriously, thanks for the payment)

As bart said, the suggested amount is $8.

Billy, a few Lexulous tips.
1. It's easiest to start off playing against the Computer Opps.

2. After you match an available robot, best to set the time limit to 15 minutes, as the bots move fast and you have no time to think on their clock. When playign people, I prefer 10 minute games, as that's up to 10 minutes each, and so twice as long as playing the computer (where it's all really just your time).

3. One flaw is that when you put down a blank tile, Lexulous doesn't usually count the score correctly. Usually if you move the blank tile to another nearby empty square then move it back to your word, it will tabulate the points correctly.

4. Another flaw is that you can click to see the remaining tiles. This can allow you to cheat if you are holding out for a certain letter (you can see if any are still available). And worse, in the end game, you can see what tiles the other player has. I'll occasionally peak against a robot, but this seems like really bad form against an actual human opponent.

5. Under Game Options, below the scores, you can Pause, Resign, Adjourn. Robots won't allow you to pause, but will agree to adjournments.

Wow, this reads like an Onion-style spoof, but apparently there is a real Education Secretary named Michael Gove:

Quote:
the Government has been responding to the economic and social crises we face with big and comprehensive programmes.

And nowhere has that been more needed than in education, where I am happy to confess I’d like us to implement a cultural revolution just like the one they’ve had in China.

&
Quote:
Like Chairman Mao, we’ve embarked on a Long March to reform our education system. Sometimes we will have to manoeuvre less than elegantly to get around obstacles. But the alternative, simply accepting the inevitability of our decline, is not an option.

I like the Education Secretary lamenting the poor state of education in the UK by displaying how it has made him ignorant. Brilliant.

I wondered whether he was being ironic, had some deeper intent or was referring to some positive aspects of the Cultural Revolution (whatever they might be) but I could not detect it. Like you I would applaud a general overhaul of the UK education system, but I find it bizarre that the person trying to instigate it would cite a movement that was essentially anti-intellectual and drivewn by a desire to control people's thoughts.

Here's a short film created the day after Christmas that Roger Ebert thinks is worhy of an Oscar. It's pretty impressive at the very least. Check it out by all means.
