What are you, some kind of communist?? Good god, man, if people get to where they are only buying what they need, our economy will implode and then melt into a little damp smear on the pavement! |

Like Lshap, I have a Facebook page but seldom check it. It happened sort of accidentally, when I started getting "friend requests" and tried to answer them and ended up with a page. My sister's into Facebook, especially Farmville, but I couldn't care less.
I'm reminded of my first computer at work. I was at Harcourt Brace, in the computer typesetting department, and I was very anxious about being parted from my trusty electric typewriter and learning to use this new contraption. My boss told me I could keep the typewriter, but he promised that once I started using the computer I'd never touch it again. He was right, except that I never figured out how to print out addresses on envelopes--for that, I needed my typewriter. |

LOL, if I tried to answer them, I suspect the same thing would happen to me. |

Too late. |

The only use I'd have for a cell phone would be when I go on road trip. I've asked about it before most of my trips but the price up here is ridiculous and I never got one. For me they are useless, and I don't like talking on the phone anyway unless there is a legitimate reason to use it.
Texting? Now there is an addiction that should embarrass even the most clueless. Texting while driving shouldn't be fined it should mean jail. |

| Texting is nice in a flirting-leading-up-to-first-date situation. |

| The person I call most often on the cellphone is myself, to leave myself a reminder to do something. The something to do is often recharging the cellphone. |

| I have the cheapest cellphone possible, because I just need it in case someone calls to offer freelance work. I make maybe two calls a month. But it comes in handy at times--such as when I was heading for an appointment with a knee specialist and got the address wrong (a doctor's handwriting, you know). Fortunately I had the doctor's phone number and was able to get the right address from his receptionist, although I was twenty minutes late for the appointment. |

I thought that was what sex in the barroom bathroom was for. |

Betsy,
thanks for reminding me that this is the Current Film forum. I'd forgotten. |

My apology.

I thought that was what sex in the back seat of a theater while watching a current film was for. |
