I'm archiving this thread. I agree with those who feel the hand-wringing takes up infinitely more space than the intelligent debate. Let's get back to a healthy mix of discussion and chat - both are important - and let the ranks grow organically.
Two things:
Marc - I agree with almost everything you've said and thank you very much for your incredible effort to jumpstart the site. I have more respect for you than you realize. However, you're sometimes the author of the very drama-queening you detest.
Joe - I really, honestly, sincerely never got a PM from you, and feel terrible that you've been harbouring this unfounded opinion that I ignored you. I think you're a great guy; I always have.
And by the way, there are a small number of regular members who've NEVER contributed a dime to this place. Don't get me started.... |
