My expectations for Bruno have been stomped down so low that it is now impossible for me to be disappointed. This is my cheery mantra as I anticipate being dragged to it in the very near future. |

But on the flip side, I've got Public Enemies to see, and The Hurt Locker starts here on Friday. |

Don't you just love it when people post about movies they're going to see.
I'm on pins and needles. |

My next is Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Glad to be of service. |

Watch it, Marc, or we'll need SPOILER ALERTS.
As I've said already, the last scene joins my favorite last scenes of all time. When that last thing came on the screen (you know what I mean) I whooped as if I were at a rock concert. |

Most horrifying last scene: Sunset Blvd.
Most heartwarming last scene: The Apartment.
Best last scene from a not-great movie: Notting Hill.

Must... not... highlight... text... Must... not... highlight... text.... Exercise... self... control.......
Only real disagreements with billyweeds's list: I prefer the end of Greed to City Lights. And... Notting Hill? Wasn't the end them relaxing in their garden on a hammock or something? Or were you refering to the whole "daft prick" bit?
Boy, could Billy Wilder end a movie or couldn't he? |

I think my favorite last line from a movie is from Breaking Away. |

I really dug the last scene in FIGHT CLUB with The Pixies "Where Is My Mind" on the soundtrack.
The ending of Peter Weir's FEARLESS is sublime.
No matter how feel about the movie, BLAIR WITCH PROJECT has a truly disturbing ending.
HAROLD AND MAUDE has a deeply satisfying ending. |

I'm on pins and needles.
I plan on doing a dark wash this evening. Maybe have some Honeycomb as a snack.
I'll keep you updated. |
