My deepest condolences to all who knew Nancy personally and all those for whom she was a friendly voice on the net. |

I offer sincere condolences to Nancy's friends and family, both here and in "real" life. She was a much beloved here, and her presence will be missed. |

I've progressed from shock and second-guessing myself to just plain grief. I've notified all but a couple of people I have contact information for.
I went in to work for five hours today which helped some, and I'm driving to the airport in a couple of hours to pick up Anne so there will be someone to talk to.
I guess the stress is contagious because the cat is going into heat again. |

Syd - I hope you've moved past second-guessing yourself...
The grief must be all-consuming, given how close you two were, but I'm glad Anne will be there to keep you company. Please convey to her my very deepest condolences; if she was Nancy's heir, she must be incredibly special indeed, and is in my thoughts. |

Syd, I'd posted a typically irreverent post on the music page prior to discovering the sad news. My condolences. At a time like this, practical matters can seem intrusive. However, they are, sadly, necessary, as I noted when my mother died last November. If any Third Eye posters can provide practical/legal/online assistance, well, you know the rest.
Best wishes, mate. |

I have been very touched by the comments by our forum family on Nancy's Facebook page. I can only hope that somewhere, somehow, she is aware of how much she will be missed. |

Anne's here now and talking to a friend about legal advice. Yes, there is a will, and the legal records are probably in order.
Anne has about the same taste as Nancy in horror films. They both like the cheap, bad ones. |

The friend who's helping Anne is the same one who helped Nancy when her mother died, and the lawyers are the same, and that went very smoothly despite the lack of a will. This time there is one, and lots of Nancy's friends knew her wishes, so hopefully it will go smoothly again. |

Syd,
I just got home and am on my way to Facebook to read all of the comments there. I already agree with Billy that our little forum is outdone by no one. [Not that we're in competition.]
I'm very glad that you have Anne there for some solace. Again, if there's anything you need or if there's anyway in which any of us can help, please let us know. |

I'm going to suggest that we all conveen (behind the curtain) at a time agreed on by all of us......to have our own memorial for Nancy. I know I would like to honor her memory. |
