There have indeed been a lot of very good reviews, but even the best of them make it sound terrible. One Gump reference was enough for me to bail. |

After a late night of partying.......I couldn't get up to drive the 2 hours to Phoenix to see: Doubt, The Reader, Gran Torino, Revolutionary Road. I guess I'll have to make do with seeing Twilight again at the local cinema.
Keeping up is hard to do.
Happy New Year! |

I am planning to see movies in Sta. Fe on Sunday. The only _big_ ones are "Milk" and "Frost/Nixon." The others are obscure foreign films at the cinematheques -- which I try to see because they don't stay too long. Otherwise, none of the anticipated films of 2008 have made it to Sta. Fe (except "Doubt," which was solid and "Slumdog," which has been my favorite so far).
"Button," "Marley," and "Valkyrie" are playing locally - can't get too excited about any of them. |

i'm about ready to watch B. Button and am looking hella toward's it -- I also have Slumdog Millionaire on hand, too.
But. . .
I must confess -- we watched The Wizard of Oz earlier today -- a New Year tradition to try and keep me sane. |

Oh, my goodness, so much has happened in the last few weeks, that fact just went over my semi-attached haid. Mea maxima culpa.
So here's a happy dance for the return of Lissa:

And some adJudycation, to boot.

The clip of Judy makes you wonder why she was forever given such a hard time about her appearance. She looks radiant. |

Yes but Bugs couldn't carry a tune in a handbasket.
Then again, Judy couldn't dig to China using just her hands either.
I guess it's a trade-off... |

On the other hand, sappy love ballads sound much better if you sing them like Elmer Fudd. |

I never knew that. What was the matter with her appearance. Did they think she was too fat or something? |

Garth: Did you ever find Bugs Bunny attractive when he put on a dress and played girl bunny?
Wayne: No.
Garth: Neither did I. I was just asking. |
