Free scoop at Ben & Jerry's too.

I remember when I lived in Calif., you got a coupon for KFC.

This isn't fair to early voters or people in Taos where there's no Starbucks OR Ben & Jerry's.

If Mondo gives anything away without some kind of proof, 1/2 the town will show up to freeload, btw.

Guess who's had a face life?

LIDDY DOLE.

Her eyes have been pulled so tight! Just saw the photo at today's www.huffingtonpost.com .

She's really starting to look like the living dead.

Just caught Affleck's Olbermann. Hilarious. Affleck stumbled over his words, and broke character a couple of times, but he may have found his dream role.

Anybody else see the cool Starbucks get out the vote ad on SNL? Just words and then a picture of the coffee cup with the logo. If you vote on Tuesday you can go to Starbucks and get a free cup of coffee.

I kinda think that's cool.

Oh, good. We just had one open a few blocks from here.

In an online newspaper Australians who would you vote to be President of the United States?

93% - Barack Obama
7% – John McCain

Now there's some good odds for you Smile

Its easy to say you'd vote for a commie when it's not your money he's after.

In the NY Times Style section today, there was a "Dear Abby" type of letter from a California woman who is upset because her neighbors are going whole hog with the support Prop. 8 (ban gay marriage) signs - in the yard, on the RV's, etc. She has just ONE anti-Prop. 8 sign and needed advice because she wants to go on a rampage and tear down the neighbors' signs. She feels they are interfering with her right of free speech.
The answer was that she should pay a very polite visit to the neighbors and voice her concerns to them.

What a crock! Both the Ethicist and the Style Section advisor are must-read's every week. I find myself terribly amused at what seems to be bothering the sensibilities of the Times' readers.

What she needs to do is string up her Chrismas lights to say "NO to Prop. 8" Preferably flashing.

Mo,
the top federal income tax rate would revert from 33% presently to 36% under Obama. That's the rate that the high earners are paying, and 36% is what it was during the Clinton years. Basically just a repeal of the Bush tax cuts for the rich.

That's why some were parodying McCain's tirades as: 33% is reasonable, 34% still American, 35% is socialist and 36% goes over into full-blown communism.

Mo, if you are interested, take a look at this Feeaknomics page.
They present three graphs explaining the changes that Obama and McCain propose in the tax rates.
It's interesting, because each graph presents the data in a different way and gives a different impression.

EDITED: now with new & improved link .. which actually works.

I've edited and fixed the link in my original post.
It just got mangled slightly.
Try it again.
(the quoted link in your post will still be wrong).

My guess would be no 'rainbow coalition' (or nation), although South Africa have already appropriated the nation tag.

Thanks. It looks to me from the 3 charts as if the mega-rich will pay more than the just over $250K rich. But maybe I just don't understand the charts.
