The British film The Bank Job is the true story of a rather unusual bank robbery, and is quite enjoyable.

Great. Now you've ruined it for me. Spoiler alert next time.

I go by the rule that if the trailer makes me want to flee the theater, I'm probably not going to like the movie. Thus, I've never seen Patch Adams, Thomas and the Magic Railroad, or Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium. I still hate the trailer for Across the Universe.

I did see Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium, despite the trailer, and it was godawful. Good thing I saw it really cheap (I think at the dollar house on 50 Cent Tuesday).

I saw it on my seat partner's DVD on the flight coming over. It looked dreadful.

Did Natalie Portman really want to work with Dustin Hoffman that badly or did she just need the money??

I think Joe was suggesting that the inventive title sort of says it all. It wes probably a working title that nobody got around to changing.

Ghulam--Are you kidding? Joe obviously was. I think he's referring to the title telling nothing and everything. It's as if Gone with the Wind were caled The Deep South Before and After the Civil War.

Joe, don't worry about spoilers. The Bank Job is actually the story about a teller who live with his mother and has no luck with women until one of the Barbie bandits falls for him.

I was totally pulling your leg. Billy got my point, basically. But also I find movie fans too touchy about the Spoiler Alert principle. I was playing up "great, now I already know it's a good movie. You ruined the surprise for me."

Wrong! The Bank Job is about building a levee on the Thames.

Do they resolve the issue as Simon and Garfunkel's "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" plays in the background?

This is really the only movie (other than the David Gordon Green) that I want to see at present.

I wanted to see Mrs. Pettigrew Lives for a Day, but it never made it here. The last three weeks have been pretty dire.

Saw the Bank Job last night. It was okay, enjoyable enough - 2 1/2 stars, maybe 3 stars if one was feeling generous
