Yeah - let's all gang up on those mutherfucking Bandwagoners!
Where you see a bandwagon I see harmless opinions. But regardless of what you believe you're seeing, there is nothing hypocritical about denying the resulting knee-jerk hostility. It's called manners. |

In the last couple of days Wade has called us "Sickening" and Rod accused Gromit's throat of being "Moronic". The magic tote board reads:
Pissy Tantrums - 1
Boorish Tempers - 1
Request for banning - 1
It's no wonder I keep coming back to this place.
Seriously, Wade, if you can't rein in that childish shit, at least apologize afterwards.
And equally seriously, Rod, if you're going to allow a harmless question to set off a rabid attack, go do some push-ups or run around the block before posting.
Most seriously, please clean up after your own mess.
Wait a minute, there's a call for banning and I'm not leading the pack? What has the forum come to?????
Lorne,
Your response perfectly illustrates what I love about you. Glad you keep coming back to this place. |

John Sayles - I liked Brother From Another Planet, but then again it has elements of a silent to it.
He's not in my five favorites, but I've liked several of his films. |

Quote: Unless you need the point shoved down your moronic throat.
Rod would only have the courage to say this from several thousand miles away. Would he say it to someone's face? And how long after saying it would he remain standing? Try it with me sometime. Face to face. |

I've met Rod in person (and Marc, too). Personally anyone that wants to go mano a mano with Rod might be sorry. Ditto with Marc.
Since the cost of airfare to stage this fight of the century is prohibitive, it's probably time to wave the olive and eucalyptus branches.

| Now introducing the contenders for the Super Heavyweight Championship of the world, we have in this corner Rod 'The Aussie Marauder' Heath! And in this corner, hailing from the mean streets of Taos, Marc 'The Angriest Hippie' Campbell! |

In soccer, the referee employs system of yellow and red cards to disciplime those who commit foul play. A yellow card, which is also called a 'booking' from the days when the referee used to write the offending players name in his little black book, constitues a final warning. Two yellow cards and the player is shown a red card or 'sent-off', and has to leave the field for the remainder of the game. Serious foul play can result in a 'straight' red card. Red cards usually result in a one to three game ban.
It is common, especially in Europe and South America, for players to ask the referee to book an opposing player when he commits a foul. British fans, even those who get a kick out of kicking the other teams supporters, always found this distasteful. It wasn't quite cricket, which it wasn't, but never mind.
To cut a long story short, it is now a booking offence to ask for another player to be booked.
And yes Billy this was a long winded anaolgy. |

| I see TCM' double bill tonight is The Cat People and I Walked With A Zombie. I saw this double bill in the theatre around 1952. I guess they always play as a Jacques Tourneur quinella. |
