I must've missed this post by switching ground controls, but, Thank You.

I'm kinda surprised that no one's mentioned the Led Zeppelin concert. They apparently (and surprisingly) did good.

This, however, is hilarious (especially the Norwegians):

They apparently did 'well'.

We don't care for bad grammar in the Rock n Roll, Rap n Crap forum.

Did well in a colloquial sort of way.

I've read some of the reviews and wish I could have been there. Or at least have seen them live in their hey day.

The pictures of them together at Rollingstone.com are pretty interesting. They have the same moves, but age wise, Plant and Page didn't age all that well. As Howard Stern mentioned the other day, Page looks like his Uncle Murray.

But playing wise, the various YouTube videos I've seen of the songs, he sounds like he's rehearsed pretty well over the last few weeks... even with the bum finger he had, which caused the postponement from an earlier date.

As for any future tours or performances, I think they may be pulling a Pink Floyd on this one. Let's hope a nice DVD gets made.

Here's one of the reviews of the Led Zeppelin performance on Monday:

Meanwhile, there's speculation that the group will play three gigs in NYC next year:

I don't normally do this (go to reunion gigs), but for some I'd make an exception. Led Zeppelin would definitely be exception time.

But I'm hearing that Robert Plant really doesn't want to, and in fact is going on tour with his most recent album (which got very good reviews).

Robert Plant would probably prefer to spend at least the early part of 2008 promoting the album he's done with Alison Krauss (it is excellent), but I suspect that the tempting offers for a few Stateside gigs may make him reconsider.

I'm hoping for this. While I hate to see endless amounts of dollar signs be placed in front of said performers, I certainly wouldn't mind the opportunity to help fund part of their retirement.

Wow.

Family legend has it that Ike and Tina did a show in the bar my father owned in the early 1960's (although there are a lot of dubious legends floating around my family).
