Don't forget when you're nominating that some forumites regard some of the "supporting" roles as LEADS, such as Cate Blanchett (NOTES) or Jennifer Hudson (DREAMGIRLS).
Haven't seen Dreamgirls, but I already nominated Blanchett for Supporting in Notes on a Scandal. I guess there is a point of view that regards her as a co-Lead in that, but I don't see it. |

globear: you can still vote for song and cinematography if you want. I'm not closing cinematography for a couple of hours. |

THIS ACTOR LIST HAS BEEN REVISED
Actor:
Leonardo di Caprio: The Departed
Daniel Craig: Casino Royale
Ken Watanabe: Letters from Iwo Jima
(If The Last King of Scotland appears this weekend, this may get revised.) Honorable Mention: Matt Damon, The Departed, Clive Owen, Inside Man, Will Ferrell, Stranger than Fiction, Jamie Foxx, Dreamgirls)
Actress:
Helen Mirren, The Queen
Gretchen Mol. The Notorious Bettie Page
Keke Palmer, Akeelah and the Bee
Honorable Mention: Sanaa Lathan, Something New (actually, she and Keke Palmer are tied), Diane Lane, Hollywoodland (who I nominated for supporting) , Jennifer Hudson, Dreamgirls (ditto). Maggie Gyllenhaal loses out for Sherrybaby because a lot of the time I couldn't understand what she was saying. Besides, I liked her better in Stranger than Fiction and Monster House. And Gretchen Mol has more expressive boobs. |

I don't think we have any posters in Alaska or Hawaii, so here are the finalists for
BEST CINEMATOGRAPHY
Apocalypto
Babel
Children of Men
Miami Vice
Pan's Labyrinth
There were 24 films nominated. It took four votes to be a finalist. The runners up:
3 votes: The Illusionist, Volver, no award
2 votes: Curse of the Golden Flower, Letters from Iwo Jima, Little Children, The Painted Veil
1 vote: The Da Vinci Code, The Departed, The Devil Wears Prada, Dog Bites Dog, Forbidden Quest, The Fountain, The Good Shepard, Notes on a Scandal, Paprika, The Road to Guantanamo, Running Scared, Three Times, Water
Gromit voted twice but I only counted him once. yambu only submitted one nominee but I counted him for no award once, not twice. |

I forgot about Steve Coogan - it was so long ago - though he may well have only figured in what would have been a long list of honorable mentions. |
