I've seen 2 of those 3. Still need to catch Wordplay. |

Nice to hear from you globear. I have recorded your nomination. You are entitled nominate up to three actors and actresses if you wish. The top three from each category go into a final run off, with the winners announced just before the Oscars. |

Correction. The top FIVE from each category go to the final vote. If there is a tie for the fifth nominee (or a three way or more tie for the fourth), we have a tiebreaker vote. |

Nominees For Best Actress In A Supporting Role
With six Votes:
Rink Kikuchi, Babel
With five votes:
Adrianna Barraza, Babel
Abigail Breslin, Little Miss Sunshine
Cate Blanchett, Notes On A Scandal
With four votes:
Frances McDormand, Friends With Money
Catherine O'Hara, For Your Consideration
So I hereby declare...if we're going for five nominees it's a run-off between Frances McDormand and Catherine O'Hara for the fifth spot. Alternatively, we could let them both in or we eliminate both of them For reasons of simplicity, I prefer one of the options that does not involve further voting, but being a conflcit averse wimp, I'll go with the consensus or just let the big beasts of the forum fight it out. By the way, I'm away until Sunday.
No real surprises in the results, least of all the fact that none of my nominees made it through to the next stage.
I wasn't going to list the numbers of nominations, but decided to include them to help everyone decide on the next step. |

Since I haven't seen either of the deadlocked, I won't be voting in the tiebreaker. |

I say no runoff vote, Jeremy.
I haven't seen FYC, unfortunately, and I wasn't impressed with Frances in FWM, so I couldn't vote for either of them. |

Fascinating (to me, at least) that neither Eddie Murphy nor Jennifer Hudson (the Oscar favorites) are on our list of nominees. |
