There will be gallery exhibits connected to the films.
T.F.F.A. will devote a significant percentage of its programming to Native American and Latin American art in film.
T.F.F.A. will create a film distribution wing, with a particular focus on films made in New Mexico and films on New Mexican culture.
T.F.F.A. will work closely with local businesses in an effort to enhance their exposure and increase their revenue.
T.F.F.A. will host social events during the festival.

T.F.F.A. will present the Lorenzo Maestas Award to an outstanding digital film created by a director under the age of 21. The award will be a digital movie camera.
Taos Film Festival of The Arts’ main goal is to energize the Taos arts and business communities and to solidify Taos’s historical reputation as an art center . T.F.F.A. is a celebration of art and its connection to community. There are many film festivals in the world today and most of them focus on the marketing of movies. The Taos Film Festival of The Arts seeks to distinguish itself by promoting cinema as a means or connection to the human soul through the art and culture of New Mexico and the world.
"The saving grace of the cinema is that with patience, and a little love, we may arrive at that wonderfully complex creature which is called man." - Jean Renoir

 TAOS FILM SOCIETY
I am pleased to announce the formation of
THE TAOS FILM SOCIETY sponsored by THIRD EYE FILM and THE TAOS FILM FESTIVAL OF THE ARTS.
We will be screening films at the BAREISS GALLERY on Fridays and Saturdays starting
Feb. 6 & 7. Showtime: 7:30 pm.
The first weekend of screenings will be open to everyone, but we will eventually make this a members only society. There will be various membership options. Membership dues will be used to cover our expenses, ie. leasing space, equipment and utilities. We will not charge any admission at the door.
Taos needs a cinema alternative. I am determined to provide this town with a wonderful venue for sharing the film experience. Phillip Bareiss has been very kind in allowing us to gather at his gallery. With its high ceiling, good accoustics and warm atmosphere, The Bareiss Gallery is a perfect space for screening films. I assure you that the quality of projection and sound will be top notch.
Our first screening will be THE BATTLE OF ALGIERS.
